Navy League Members Fired Up at 2025 “Vets, Guns and Cigars” Event
Organized by the Meritorious Foundation and hosted by Asymmetric Solutions, near Farmington, Missouri.
On December 7th, St. Louis Council members braved some chilly weather and participated in the “Vets, Guns, and Cigars” event organized by the Meritorious Foundation and hosted by Asymmetric Solutions, near Farmington, Missouri.
The event consisted of open range time, a series of fun and challenging practical shooting contests, a hosted lunch and a social hour. Altogether, the day is specifically designed for a fun and memorable networking opportunity for veterans in attendance.
Stephenson addressed the group with an overview of the national organization’s mission and the unique activities of the St. Louis Council.
“We are very grateful for organizer Katherine Kostreva and the Meritorious Foundation, Asymmetric Solutions, and other sponsors including Veterans United Foundation, The VetWork, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson,” said Stephenson. “And, I’d add a special word of appreciation to the range safety officers who organized the courses and ran a tight ship to keep everyone safe.”
Based on the turnout of this year’s event, the St. Louis council plans to attend again in 2026 with hopefully warmer temperatures. For information about upcoming council events, check the council’s Events Page here.
