St. Louis Welcomes Nearly 100 Future Sailors at Busch Stadium on June 25th
The 67th Annual Cardinal Company was sworn in by Rear Adm. James Waters, the Navy’s head recruiter, flanked by members of Navy Talent Acquisition Group Mid-America.
On June 25, 2025, just prior to the first pitch at Busch Stadium, 96 future sailors took their Oath of Enlistment, as administered by U.S. Navy Rear Adm. James Waters, Commander, Navy Recruiting Command. This was the 67th annual mass enlistment by Navy Sailors, known forever after as the Cardinal Company, prior to being bussed to Naval Recruit Training Center Great Lakes that evening.
The induction event included a flyover by a pair F/A-18G Super Hornets, a Navy color guard and recruiters from Navy Talent Acquisition Group Mid-America in summer whites manning the first and third baselines, while officers, chief petty officers and St. Louis Navy League Council President Capt. Henry Stephenson, USN (Ret.), rendered honors.
